Summer of Dragons

It’s Going to Be a Hot One!

For weeks now, we have heard strange rumors coming out of the north: animals have been moving south in unusual patterns, and the colour of the sky has been just a little bit off. The wind has been too warm for this early in the season, and with it has come a bitter, acrid smell. Now our scouts have confirmed our worst fears, and the tales told by those fleeing south can no longer be ignored, for the wilderness is on fire, and above the blaze fell shapes are soaring.

Welcome to the summer of dragons!

The three courses listed below are interlocking. Each one, in a way appropriate to its age group, seeks to activate and foster your sense of wonder, awe, and humility before the mysteries of life. They do this in order to facilitate powerful and meaningful discussion of the things that lie closest to our hearts: joy, sorrow, loneliness, courage, loyalty, kindness, beauty, and so on.

What is uniquely exciting about them is that they provide a rare opportunity for study together as a family. Parents and grandparents can be reading the same books alongside teen and pre-teen children, and then all three groups can come together to discuss the differences in how their class came at the material, to share insights, and to commune in the joy of a good book. Each class also has its own unique books that explore issues especially important to character formation for that stage of life.

If 2 or more members of a family register for any of these classes, all members from that family will receive a 10% discount. So don’t delay: jump into the Summer of Dragons!
